Crosslinking agent is a substance that connects molecules of linear polymers by chemical bonding, making them polymers of three-dimensional mesh structure. The vulcanization of rubber is a crosslinking reaction with sulfur as a crosslinking agent, and the crosslinking reaction for other polymeric materials is also known as crosslinking or curing.
Type | Product | Characteristic | TDS |
---|---|---|---|
Sulfur system | Sulfur | A typical vulcanizer which is obtained by sublimating or melting natural sulfur into powder. | TDS |
Insoluble sulfur (7020P) |
Sulfur containing insoluble CS₂ with a crystalline structure, exhibits high level of thermal stability and vulcanization consistency at high temperatures, compensates for the shortcomings of general sulfur to prevent blooming and improve the quality of rubber products. | TDS | |
Colloid sulfur | Colloidal sulfur has excellent dispersibility and is used in the manufacture of high-quality industrial and latex products. | TDS | |
Peroxide system | DCP | DCP is used for electrical insulation due to its low risk of scorch compared to sulfur vulcanization, better stability of high temperature degradation after molding, and excellent electrical stability. | TDS |
